Cambridge College offers a medical interpreter program as part of an undergraduate degree, or as non-degree professional training. Students must demonstrate proficiency in one target language: Arabic, Chinese, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Spanish, or Vietnamese.

Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation, Institute for Linguistic and Cultural Skills offers a training program to enable participants to become competent medical interpreters. This training meets the requirements of the Massachusetts Emergency Room Interpreting Law (ERIL).

The Massachusetts Court System, Office of Court Interpreter Services provides training to interpreters employed by the court. Currently the Office employs over 100 interpreters of languages including Spanish, Portuguese, Khmer, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Vietnamese, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Polish, and Russian.
